Who has the right to determine who is added or deleted from the community listing?
Upon moving into this beautiful neighborhood, I was approached by 2 women claiming to need personal information about me, my family and my life for the home owners association. Needlesstosay, I was taken aback by the intrusive nature and depth of their questions and be came defensive. I believe such questions about my life and family are not a necessary requirement for membership in the HOA; only my check . I'm sure I will soon be asked for my dues, which I will gladly pay to insure the continuity and upkeep of our public domain areas.
I asked these ladies to email me the offical questionnare from the HOA and I would hapily complete and send in. The questionnare never arrived. I provided my email address and cell number to them by writing upon their tablet.
I understand the need for neighbors to "be involved" but not in my or my family's personal business or life. These ladies peppered me with personal questions yet never ever said "Welcome to our neighborhood."
Now the HOA directory has come. Funny how I find my contact information has not been included.
Do they have the right to decide who or who is not listed in this directory?
